This was a fantastic morning for a ride, ideal conditions all day, my last weekend training as a group. Next weekend is "the race" I look forward to every year, the New Zealand Cycle Challenge (https://cyclechallenge.com/)
Today's ride took our group out to Eastbourne, which is nice and easy, no hill climbs for the group. I myself always rides over Wainuiomata Hill Summit. On the way home the bike felt quite sluggish, which is a good thing as I need to do a maintenance overhaul before the weekend.

Yes this video is a few days late on posting, but I have had such a busy weekend I'm glad it is over.

A Funny Thing Happened On Our Ride ....
Near the halfway turning point of our ride, one of our riders spotted a boy in distress at the side of the road. Upon inspection, it became apparent a dog had climbed up to the top of a rock amd couldn't get down.

We spent at least 15mins figuring out how to reach the dog, when a lady with a pram stopped, asked us to keep an eye on her baby, then she proceeded to clamber up the rock like a goat, no joke, we all watched in awe!

At this point I realized this was a photo moment, quickly whipped out my phone and started capturing some images. I know what you're thinking, 'Bro you have an action camera, get a video', well I didn't cause it never occurred to me at the time, not too bright!
You won't see any of this in the above video, the newly formed USO Dog Rescue Team
Alas, my last group training before the Big Race Taupo Cycle Challenge, I don't feel like I'm ready, pre race jitters I guess.
